About MINEX Europe
After years of anti-mining sentiment in Europe that has seen a move to ever-increasing imports, the EU and other European countries are starting to recognise the opportunities gained from exploiting natural resources closer to home.
MINEX Europe Forum is a pan-European technical and investment conference focused on promoting mineral exploration and mining across the continent, from the Nordic countries and Iceland through Turkey and the Balkans. This year the Forum is being organised in collaboration with our partners SRK Consulting, ERM (Environmental Resources Management) and the EU funded FAME consortium of 16 European organisations led by Wardell-Armstrong International.
MINEX Europe was inspired in part by the Horizon 2020 and Raw Materials initiatives, which aim for industry to account for 20% of European GDP by the year 2020 as well as seeking to secure a sustainable supply of raw materials for Europe. To promote this the EU is making available from 2014-2020 almost €80 billion for research and development of skills and technologies which will help to unlock the mineral potential of European countries and enable it to compete in a global market.
Despite the significance of these and other important EU initiatives, they remain relatively unknown to many businesses and investors. The Forum aims to play a role of a pan-European integrator by facilitating dialogue on mining revival in Europe and unlocking investment and business opportunities in the extractive sector across the European continent.
MINEX Europe is a business Forum primarily aimed at the international delegates representing EU funded mining and technical projects, European and Global mine operators, Government authorities, National Geological surveys, Banks, Academia, NGOs and Mining Engineers and Consultants operating across European continent.
MINEX Europe Forum has the following long-term objectives:
-
to address major economic and political developments aimed at Europe’s Re-industrialisation and the growing need for developing a sustainable raw materials base to reduce dependency on supply from other markets;
-
to stimulate development of Europe’s technological leadership aiming at economically viable and environmentally sound mineral extraction operations;
-

-

CDP seminar
"Maximising the value of your operations – managing efficiency in times of low commodity prices"
In today’s increasingly challenging times, the mining community is increasingly focused on the optimisation of systems to enhance production and save money. Optimising production and minimising operating and working capital costs has rarely been more important. Insights into best practice and practical innovations that can positively contribute to these objectives is therefore more valuable than ever. Join the discussion organsied SRK Consulting alongside the Forum by attending a series of interactive sessions aimed at exploring how technology and applications can help your organisation save time and resources, as well as better manage risks. The sessions will cover a range of disciplines which all play an important part in the modern mining industry, including geology, geotechnics, hydrogeology, mining, waste management and environmental and social management. We will introduce a number of case studies to examine innovation, efficiency and effective risk management and, in so doing, provide valuable insights into how to unlock value in your projects and operations.
About MINEX Forum TM
MINEX Mining and Exploration Forum was established by Advantix Ltd in 2005 with the aim of promoting international partnerships and cross border cooperation, as well as stimulating multidisciplinary discussions on the development of Eurasia’s Mineral potential.
MINEX Forum holds regular events in Russia, Kazakhstan, China and the UK. The recent addition of MINEX Europe to the existing MINEX Forum events series will provide an important link for extending awareness and facilitating international cooperation in Mining and Exploration across Europe, Central Asia and China. The Forum aims to play a proactive role in addressing regulation issues, awarding corporate and individual achievements, organising presentations of cutting edge prospecting and mining technologies, and much more.
The online platform of MINEX Forum offers extensive networking, educational and business promotion opportunities to mining professionals involved in Eurasian mining.
