SRK Exploration is a consulting practice specialising solely on exploration, delivering tailored field and consultancy services for projects worldwide. With experience in over 100 countries, we specialise in the exploration for a wide range of metals and industrial mineral commodities, elevating projects from the earliest stage of exploration though to resource drilling.

As explorers we are the first to investigate and evaluate properties for potential mineral deposits. We provide a complete, specialist exploration service tailored to geographical and geological conditions as well as the client’s strategic requirements. We maintain a flexible approach and are experienced at working independently, or with a client’s in-house team to provide consultancy, management and contracting services to internationally recognised standards.

SRK Exploration, as part of the wider SRK Consulting Group, provides an extensive range of technical services to the early stage extractive resource sector. Once SRK Exploration has advanced a project through the exploration stages, SRK Consulting is able to assist in the continued development of the project ensuring an all- encompassing service.

FAME (Flexible and Mobile Economic Processing Technologies) is a transnational research project. It's aim is to increase the competitiveness of the mining of European mineral resources and to stimulate more private engagement and investment and thus business development with the potential to maintain and create high quality jobs within the EU 28.

The FAME project focuses on addressing a number of economic and environmental challenges to improve processing technologies and to recover valuable materials from low grade and / or complex feedstock's ore by increasing the range of yields of recovered raw materials with lower energy consumption and minimising mine waste. In turn this will reduce the environmental fingerprint whilst increasing the utilisation of residues.

FAME addresses the objectives of the Societal Challenges identified for the Horizon 2020 Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials and more specifically the call topic SC5-11-2014/2015: New solutions for sustainable production of raw materials, b) Flexible processing technologies.
